Post Hurricae Katrina Mission Trip to Mississippi.
I am going to tell you about an amazing adventure that I had on a missions trip to Mississippi.
I went with my church group (and my Grandma) to Mississippi July, 2007.
It was a 14 hour drive.
Most of the time it was boring by some of the time, when the old people weren't asleep, it was kind of exciting because we played games and stuff.
When we got there we found out that we were staying in a trailer behind the church and some stores.
The church had its own kids building!!!
The missionaries had three kids, they were all boys.
But their friends were there and they had a five year old girl named Roxelle.
On Sunday, we went to the church service.
They had their own rock band, dancers and everything.
It was way loud!!!!!!
On Monday, we helped a lady fix her house.
We tore off the siding of the house and put more on.
We also painted her porch and walls and doors.
On Tuesday, we tore down somebodies shed.
On the last day we were there we went to a seafood restaurant and it wasn't very good.
We also went to the beach and went shopping in New Orleans.
We also saw the stadium where the people had to stay.
We learned a lot about Hurricane Katrina.
It was a wonderful experience that everyone should have.
