How to Improve Gas Mileage

There are several simple things you can do to improve gas mileage. And with gas being as expensive as it is these days, who don’t want better mileage?

1. Always check to make sure your tires are inflated to manufacturer’s specifications.

2. Keep your tires rotated and balanced.

3. Oil- Changing your oil at regular intervals is not only good for your engine, but also creates less drag on the motor. Synthetic oils are more expensive but reduce wear and drag on the engine.

4. Make sure the air filter element is clean. If not, replace.

5. Replace old Spark plugs and wires.

6. Replace worn out belts.

7. Alignment- not only will keeping your alignment correct help with mileage, it will also make your tires last longer.

8. Last but not least, CLEAN YOUR VEHICLE! A clean car has less aero drag. Think about race cars, they are very clean and shiny. They do testing in a wind tunnel to find every advantage they can get!

9. Wax your car every 6 months. Not only does it make your car look nice, it helps the car cut through the air as you drive down the road.

These are just a few tips to help you out. If you have anymore, please leave a comment and we will update our list.
