Deer Hunting - Gun (rifle) Season Eleven point buck

11 Point Buck - Rifle Season

11 Point Buck - Rifle Season

November - gun season had lots of promise for me.

On the second day of opening weekend, I was fortunate enough to have a nice eight point buck come within thirty yards of my Tree stand

Unfortunately, I did not have the ability to make make the shot as I shot under the deer. After a good nights sleep and dream of a Boar hunt in Tennessee, I was determined to have at it again.

The following day I once again made the trek to my Tree stand
to give it another try with a lesson learned from the previous day.

As the woods came to life the deer started to move and I had a nice two and half year old buck walk past my stand.

This Deerjust was not what I was looking for as I knew there was much larger Deerin the area.

About fifteen minutes later another buck had came into the area and this one was a shooter.

I raised my 30-06 and waited for a good shot.

At seventy five yards the deer gave me a quartered away shot and took the opportunity. He dropped ten yards away.

What a great Buck!

He had great tine length and good mass.

There were seven points on his left side and four on the right.

The G2's measured eleven inches.

I am very proud of this deer. Can't wait to hunt wild turkey!
