Ham Recipes – Oven Baked Ham

10 pound ham

1 stick butter

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon chili powder

Combine dry ingredients. Rub ingredients over entire surface of ham. Melt butter in microwave. Use an injector to shoot butter directly into ham.

Any remaining butter can be seasoned and applied to ham.

To make the diamond pattern on top of the ham, use a knife to cut diagonal slices about ¼ inch deep from one side to the other. Repeat process in opposite direction.

Place ham into a 9x13 dish with about a ½ inch of water in the bottom. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour. Be sure to check ham after ½ hour to ensure top is not getting done too quickly.

If so, cover with aluminum foil and continue baking until done.
