Notice that this choke collar is in the shape of a “9”. A good way to remember this is “9” is for 911.

You should never put a choke collar on your dog backwards.

If the choke collar is in the shape of a 9 then it will not properly release when supposed to and can cause damage to your dogs wind pipe.

We are training our dogs not strangling our dogs.

Even with proper technique, any sort of leash correction can be dangerous if the collar is in the shape of a 9.

I would also suggest that you invest in a Comfort Chain Dog Collar to prevent unwanted pinching and jugular irritation.

If you opt for a choke collar, make sure you are using it correctly.
