How to Remove Window Tint

Do to a conversation with a nice officer of the law, I promptly paid my fine and removed my Window tint.

It is a relatively simple process but time consuming.

You will need the following:

1. razor blade (preferable one that retracts into the end such as a scraper. Not a utility knife!)
2. Window cleaner
3. hand towel

Begin by carefully scraping the edge of the Window tint enough to get a firm grip. Gently pull the tint so it comes off in one large piece.

Now starts the fun. Spray the window with a generous amount of window cleaner and let set for a few minutes.

Hold the razor blade edge flat against the window at a 45 degree angle and start removing adhesive.

This will take a while and you will have to re-wet the window with cleaner several times.

Use a towel to protect the door panel so excess cleaner does not soak the pad.

Have fun, Chris
