How much money is 1 Billion dollars really?
Just for fun lets look at what Mr. Bill Gates had to average to get to his $56,000,000,000 worth in just 31 years...
Bill Gates would had to have averaged $1,806,451,612.90 a year...
that is $4,949,182.50 a day ($4.9 million +)
or $206,215.93 an hour
or $3,436.93 a minute
or $57.28 a second...
don't forget at one point he was worth $100,000,000,000! ($100 Billion)So how much is he making in interest at 8% return - $4,480,000,000 a year in interest!!
Pretty close to the numbers that it took for him to get to $56 Billion Dollars in the first place.
I hope that after reading this and seeing how much money a Billion Dollars Really is that the next time you hear somebody throwing out "billions of dollars" in a cavalier fashion or discussing numbers like "Trillions of Dollars" in surplus or deficit you have a real world perspective on how much money they are talking about.
I know just running these numbers put it in perspective for me!
