How much money is 1 Billion dollars really?

Just for fun lets look at what Mr. Bill Gates had to average to get to his $56,000,000,000 worth in just 31 years...

Bill Gates would had to have averaged $1,806,451,612.90 a year...

that is $4,949,182.50 a day ($4.9 million +)

or $206,215.93 an hour

or $3,436.93 a minute

or $57.28 a second...

don't forget at one point he was worth $100,000,000,000! ($100 Billion)

So how much is he making in interest at 8% return - $4,480,000,000 a year in interest!!

Pretty close to the numbers that it took for him to get to $56 Billion Dollars in the first place.

I hope that after reading this and seeing how much money a Billion Dollars Really is that the next time you hear somebody throwing out "billions of dollars" in a cavalier fashion or discussing numbers like "Trillions of Dollars" in surplus or deficit you have a real world perspective on how much money they are talking about.

I know just running these numbers put it in perspective for me!

Be Well,

Jp
