NBA: Basketball: King James: The Workhorse of the NBA

King James
I have a bit of a tradition in terms of watching Celtics games in that I try to watch most games with my grandfather.
Just to give a little background on him:
He is a Russian Immigrant (72 years old) who moved to this country 28 years ago.
Though his view on basketball maybe a bit skewed from mine, he is an avid basketball fan and a DIEHARD Boston Celtics fan.
He has lived through the golden years of the Boston Celtics during the 1980s and those were obviously championships that were way before my time.
However, back to the point! As we were watching the Cavaliers and Celtics do battle last night he told me something I found pretty hysterical.
He called Lebron James a "loshid" or "loshadka" which in the English translation means horse or pony.
As I let out a brief chuckle I realized that this couldn't be closer to the truth.
Lebron James is truly an out of this world animalistic human being.
He logs more minutes than any player in the NBA and never seems to be on the bench.
It is truly remarkable that James at age 23 is the youngest player ever to reach 10,000 points.
Not only is he arguably the best player in the NBA, but his talent and all-around abilities have a lot of people (including myself) making early comparisons between Lebron and the elite legends of the NBA's past.
Though what he has accomplished is incredible for his age, the Cleveland Cavaliers need to be very careful.
Given how young Lebron still is it might be wise to cut his minutes at least a little bit and give him some more rest to limit his injuries or King James the workhorse's mileage might expire.
There is only so far a human being can push himself and Lebron even with his half animal half man capabilities is no exception.
