Divisional Playoff Predicitions by truth_is_here34
The men have been separated from the boys ladies and gentlemen, Tony Romo is back from his weekend getaway in Cabo with Jessica Simpson and now we can get down to business with the AFC and NFC divisional playoffs this weekend.
We have four very entertaining games that should make for some classic playoff football.
1. Seattle Seahawks (11-6) vs. Green Bay Packers (13-3)
What a year for Brett Favre, huh? The man went from having good playoff teams to bad playoff teams to not having a playoff team at all.
Well, this year he’s got it all. For the first time in almost ten years, the Pack has a legitimate shot at the Superbowl with great receivers (Donald Driver is having a career year) and a big boost with young running back Ryan Grant who is having a season nothing short of stellar.
The Seahawks have no doubt stayed consistent over the years and still have the main core of their offense in tact from the 2005 Superbowl.
Matt Hasselbeck can get the job done and Shaun Alexander is an incredibly underrated running back.
However, while both offenses are superior, defense is going to win this football game and the Packers have the edge in that department.
I like the Pack.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars (12-5) vs. New England Patriots (16-0)
All week I have been hearing about how solid the Jaguars are on all fronts and how they are a cold weather team and blah blah blah.
Folks this is the playoffs and an entirely different season than the one you just witnessed.
The Patriots are fully aware of this and their undefeated regular season is by far the last thing on their minds.
The Patriots have not lost at home in the playoffs since Tom Brady’s tenure at quarterback began and I stand unconvinced the Jaguars will change that.
Taking nothing away from the Jaguars excellent season with David Garrard as quarterback, they are simply over matched in almost every aspect.
The running game of the Jaguars could pose a problem to the Patriots front four as Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew are both having career years.
Nevertheless, the Patriots and Tom Brady in particular live for games like this and will deliver on Saturday night.

3.San Diego Chargers (12-5) vs. Indianapolis Colts (13-3)
This one will not be much of a contest.
After coming off a lousy six interception game against the Titans two weeks ago, look for Peyton Manning to bounce back and be his old playoff self again, especially with Marvin Harrison back and close to full strength again.
Though the Chargers have arguably the best running back in football, their banged up defense will not be able to halt the tenacious attack that Indy brings.
Moreover their quarterback Philip Rivers is not yet ready for big time football.
The Chargers are coming off a not so impressive 17-6 win over the Titans who are mediocre at best.
I like the Colts in a blowout.

4. N.Y Giants (11-6) Dallas Cowboys (13-3)
The only game I am willing to go out on a limb for is this one.
Let’s face it; the Cowboys are in limbo right now. They are coming in to the playoffs stumbling losing two out of their last three regular season games and the Giants are playing very well coming off a very convincing road win against a tough Tampa Bay Bucs team.
When Eli Manning is clicking, he is almost a mirror image of his brother.
He is calm, relaxed and never gets flustered in the pocket. However, he does have his occasional “brainfarts” that Peyton does not have.
If he can limit the little mistakes, the Giants have a very good chance to pull a stunning upset.
Tony Romo is facing some scrutiny in the public eye for his weekend trip to Cabo with Jessica Simpson. I don’t see this is as a big deal at all but the media sure does.
Tony Romo will most likely bring his A game on Sunday. However, if the Giants can carry over the momentum from the close game against the Patriots and the impressive win against the Bucs they can pull off a dramatic upset.
I see this happening; I am going with the Giants in a squeaker in what should be a defensive battle.
