Texas LDS ChurchAs some of you might or might not have heard, the Church of Latter Day Saints has a small "splinter group" which still practices polygamy; a lifestyle that, while part of the Mormon Faith for many years, was disavowed many years ago. This group, however, still practices it as part of their faith. This group in West Texas was recently raided and every child living there, over 400 of them, were kidnapped by my State's Government at gunpoint. Texas Rangers, DPS and local law enforcement showed up fully armed in Tactical Gear, submachine guns, APC's and bullet proof armor and kidnapped each and every child from their parents arms. The basis of this raid was an anonymous called to CPS from an unknown girl saying that she was underage, being held against her will and subject to sexual abuse. Every, and I mean EVERY, call to CPS, Law Enforcement or public service offices are recorded and documented for evidence sake. This anonymous call which was used as Probable Cause to raid this group has never been produced and cannot be substantiated to this day.
The children were shipped off to foster care facilities around the state, often with siblings being separated by over 600 miles and the parents were arrested, jailed and denied access to their children. The media had a field day with every major news outlet, without ANY evidence being produced, proclaiming sexual abuse, sex bed, child sex slavery and on and on and on.
The agreement with the practice of polygamy, the belief or disbelief of the alleged sexual abuse - none of this has anything to do with the point at hand. The Texas Government, MY Texas Government, sponsored and backed by Federal Agents, invaded a private residence and kidnapped children and arrested citizens with NO evidence. The Constitutional Rights contained in our 4th and 6th Amendments were of NO concern to these thugs. DUE PROCESS was disavowed and completely disregarded because a Christian Group lived en masse. Thank God that the thugs did not firebomb and murder the citizens as the ATF and the FBI willingly did in my state once before, at Waco.
