Budget Travel Tip: Travel During the off season I have had the great opportunity to travel throughout the Caribbean and have even lived on the island of St. Marten for two months. The one tip I would give to people looking for a cheap travel search would be to travel during the “off-season.” From my observations I noticed that the tourism was far cheaper if I traveled between the month of May, June, July, August, and September.
During the traditionally warmer months, discounted travel services are abundant. Traveling to warm destinations throughout the Caribbean or Mexico during the off season is far less crowded and a great opportunity to cash in on one of your travel agents booking specials. The anticipation of fun in the sun during the cold blistery months may seem tempting, but the reality is if you are on a budget, my travel tip would be to wait until the off season to travel.
Another great place to search for travel is online. Booking a vacation far in advance will optimize your chances of finding that online travel bargain. Whether it be Jamaica, Antigua, Aruba or any one of your other favorite travel hot spots, I would suggest you book your trip for the off season to get the most value out of your travel experience.
